PDFelement 6 Pro Review 2018| Smart PDF Editor
- Hi friends in this article we are going to see a PDF editor called as PDFelement 6 Pro.
- Nowadays when we share a document it will be mostly PDF because of its compatibility to any devices and even in browser PDF can be opened.
- There are lot of PDF reader softwares available which also comes with some editing options like annotations and add comments options.
- The above software are useful to individuals and they are more than enough when it comes to reading.
- But if you are using PDF for business purpose whether it’s a small organization (or) big we need some additional features while editing PDF documents.

Below is the home page .
- The most awesome thing is you can create a PDF document from scratch.It means you don’t need a MSword ,Notepad documnets or other files to create a PDF.
- First go to PDFelement 6 Pro to the editor section from homepage.Check the below image
- Next click File in the PDFelement editor page.
- Next click New to create a new PDF document.
- Next choose blank .
- Now start to type like MS word.Insert image and whatever you do in MS word.Finally Save it in your desired folder.
- A sample of created pdf file.
- And you can open it on browser or any other pdf reader software.
- If you have connected Scanner with your computer , the scanned files can be converted to pdf.
- Combine different file types and convert into single pdf.
- To do this Click Combine Files like in below image
- Click Add Files.
- Here i have added one text file and one image file for demonstration purpose.After that click Next .
- Here to save the combined file , we need to choose Save as and choose desired destination folder
- Give your desired file name and finally click Save.
- Now i opened the file in chrome browser, just to show a demo for you.

- Text Properties are similar to Tools in MS Word.
- Image Properties
- Link Properties
- First we need to click Link iconand have to select the text like we do in MS Paint as show in the above image.
- Link Properties window will open.
- Apperance helps to make appearance of link in more understable form . It’s your wish to make links to colourful rectangle shapes.
- Now for demo purpose i am choosing Link Action to Go to a page view.
- After that click Set Link .
- Another popup window appears which asks to choose the page which you want to link.
- Now you shouldn’t not close this window.Keep it and use scroll bar (or) hand bar and choose the page and area which you want to link.
- For demo purpose , i chosen the second page.
- After that click Confirm.
It’s a little bit tricky but easier one.And we can also link text to webpage/website or files within desktop.
OCR:
- OCR means Optical Character Recognition.
- OCR helps to extract text from an image.
- To use OCR in PDFelement 6 Pro , First we need to download OCR libraries
- So click OCR icon and next choose Click to Download button
- Now it will strat to download OCR libraries where the size is ~388 MB.
- When the download is finished, it will strat insatll the OCR libraries.
- When the installation is finished, it will open the OCR window.
- It has 2 options.
2.Editable Text - This option helps to find and edit the text in an image.
I choose 2nd option for demo purpose and it will perform OCR operation and the below screenshot is the image inserted in the PDFelement 6 Pro and now i am able to edit the text in the image.
- And the Text extracted from image can be edited as a whole (i.e) Paragraph Mode (or) one by one line (i.e) Line Mode

Watermark:
- Watermark helps to mention your business name .
- Just enter your reqiured name in the text field and see the output in the thumbnail.
- We can also position the watermark upto 9 different places
- And we can use images also as a watermark.
- Watermark has advanced settings.
- In the advanced we can set watermark to display only in even pages (or) only in odd pages.And also we can display watermark only in particular pages.
- We can set

Background:
- We can change background colour of the document.Additional to this we can set an image as background to the document.
- Similar to watermark we can set

- When you create new header and footer it’s properties window will be displayed.
How to set Page number in header and footer?
- You can be at any page to set pagenumber.Because it will automatically set the correct order.
- Whether it’s a header and footer , first we need to set the position of the header/footer.Position will be left , middle and right.
- So now i am choosing a left field.
- Next click Insert Macro .
- Now it will automatically display macros automatically in the field. And we can also able to see Preview of header/footer location.
- Finally click OK button.
- Now the page number will be displayed in the pages.Similarly we can set Date also.
- Here the Settings is nothing,it is displaying pagenumber/date in different formats.
- Also we can change Page Number using Settings.
Bates Numbering:
- Bates Numbering is used for indexing documents and acts as reference points.Bates Numbering are used in the fields of law, legal and business.
- Similar to header/footer but with more options.
- Click the Bates Numbering.
- Click New Bates Numbering .
- You can understand from the above image it looks like header/footer settings but with additional fields Prefix,Start at and Suffix .
- In General, Comment option is used to suggest changes in an document using sticky notes, annotations and stamps.
- Here we can underline text in different styles.
- To underline a text first choose any style and select the the text/word from bottom to top because it will be easier and style will be applied successfully.The Last underline style name is Caret.
- In the comment we have different shapes which are useful annotation tools.We can also hide annotations in a single click.
- One important point you need to remember while using cloud , polygon and connected line shapes you need to double click the point if you want to finish the shape.
- Next are the text tools which includes Note , Typewriter , Text Box , Area Highlight.
- Stamps:
- Stamps are nothing but premade-icons/images which makes the suggestions more understandable.
- We can also add our own stamps.

- We can also attach files.
- The above image is the procedure to attach a file.
- Page Boxes – Similar to crop which helps to take wanted areas & removing unwanted areas.
- Extract – If you have 10 pages and you want only 3 and 6th page as a separate pdf document,this tool will do that work.
- Insert – Using this tool we can add an blank PDF document (or) other pdf files.These files can be placed before (or) the original pdf document using insert properties.
- Split – If you have bookmarks in a single pdf page .They can be splitted as separate pdf documents.
- Replace a page option can be done here.
- PDF Labels helps to numbering the pages.
Form option in PDF Element 6 Pro
- In home page we can see PDF Templates which is all about forms.
- In the edit ,forms can be edited accoridng to our desire.
And it’s a mini excel sheet !.
Because,

b.We can add javascript calculations and more….
If you want to believe let we do a simple calculation.
Goto Edit option and choose Add text.Create book 1& 2,Total price in dollars like below.
- Now goto form option choose Add Text Field.And place near to BOOK1($) . Similarly choose another Add Text Field.And place near to BOOK 2($) .Similarly for Total Add Text Field.
Now choose text field which is near the total($).Right click and choose properties
- Next in the text field properties choose calculate .Next choose value is the sum of , next click pick.After that choose text field(important) of book1 & book2 .Finally click OK and Close.
- Now save the pdf and open it browser.Now see the animated gif.

- Form edit: It helps to edit fields of text ,buttons and so on. These fields will not be editable without using this option.

- Template – If you are not able to do form on your own it have most of all basic templates.
- Choose anyone template .
- Now it will load the template
- When full percentage loaded you can download it.
- And you will get the template.
Protect PDFelement6 Pro
- Redaction – Useful to hide certain area of document.
- Search & Redact – For example if you want to delete “the” word .It will be many .So using this search bar enter “the” and it will display all “the”.Now you can select all and hide them.
- Set Password to the document
- Password Management
- Sign Document –Select this option next Click and drag area to sign digitally.
